Razorpay is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with one of their largest strategic merchants (companies like Nvidia, Airbnb, Meta, Shopify). You will own the technical success of your assigned merchant end-to-end, from initial solutioning through go-live and beyond.
As an FDE, you are the single engineering point of contact for your merchant—no handoffs, no delays. You take vague business requirements and translate them into concrete technical plans, then build and ship solutions using Razorpay's platform and AI agents to accelerate delivery. You operate as a true partner to the merchant's team, sitting alongside them to deeply understand their payments use cases and make them work seamlessly.
This role is modeled on the Forward Deployed Engineer positions pioneered by Palantir and now run at OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks, and Ramp—adapted for payments and built AI-native from day one. When you build something valuable for one merchant, you feed those patterns back into the broader Razorpay platform so the entire product improves.
You are not a consultant, support engineer, or solutions architect. You build, you ship, you own. You combine deep payments expertise with strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to operate independently in a high-trust environment. You thrive on ambiguity, can scope complex problems, and have the technical chops to execute across the full stack.
