Productnow is building a knowledge management and decision-making platform designed to make institutional knowledge accessible across organizations. The company is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed directly with customers, solving high-stakes problems hands-on while serving as a trusted technical advisor.
In this role, you will own the full arc from problem discovery through deployed solution. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams to scope problems on the fly, build solutions, and deploy them yourself. You'll balance shipping speed with long-term maintainability, explore new tools and stacks to match customer environments, and act as the primary technical point of contact for customers. The role requires operating independently in the field while upholding collaborative team culture.
The ideal candidate is a fullstack builder energized by ambiguity and direct customer contact. You'll work across the company's modern stack: TypeScript, Next.js, NestJS, Prisma, Postgres, AWS, and CDK. You should be comfortable with React on the frontend, have experience with backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, or similar), and understand databases and API design. A product-focused mindset is essential—you should be excited about shipping features that directly impact users and iterating quickly based on feedback.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 1+ years of experience as a frontend or fullstack developer, ideally deeply embedded with design and product teams
- Track record of shipping user-facing features end-to-end in dynamic environments
- Knowledge of React and experience with at least one backend framework (Node.js, Django, or similar)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and API design
- Product-focused mindset and ability to iterate quickly based on feedback
