NanoNets is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers, designing and deploying AI-driven systems into production environments. The role operates at the intersection of frontend, backend, and infrastructure, with end-to-end ownership from requirements gathering through production rollout.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building AI-native interfaces and workflows for complex business processes
- Integrating LLM-powered systems and agentic workflows into customer environments
- Building real-time applications that connect software to physical operations
- Owning problems end-to-end, from initial design through production deployment
- Collaborating with customers to understand requirements and iterate on solutions
- Debugging and designing across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years as a Forward Deployed Engineer, software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent (startup experience preferred)
- Experience building AI-native applications: chatbots, conversational interfaces, agentic workflows, RAG systems
- Strong frontend system design knowledge: state management, performance optimization, caching, rendering patterns
- Solid backend and infrastructure understanding: APIs, data flow, authentication/authorization, secure data handling
- Hands-on production LLM experience: RAG pipelines, agent orchestration, embeddings/vector search, prompt design
- Ability to own systems end-to-end from problem definition through implementation
- Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Client-facing or high-ownership environment experience is a plus
