Intuit Enterprise Suite is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise finance customers and ship production automation that turns AI pilots into real accounting operations. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, applied AI, and enterprise finance—reporting into Engineering but working shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales and Account Management on high-value deals and renewals.
You'll own the last mile between what Core Engineering ships and what customers actually run in production. Your success is measured by one metric: did the customer's business measurably change because you were in the room.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build working proofs-of-value with prospects using their own data and systems, with real integrations and real output
- Partner with Account Executives from first technical touch through contract signature, running discovery with finance and IT teams, leading technical evaluations, and building ROI cases for CFOs and Controllers
- Architect and deploy customer-specific AI Agent configurations that automate accounting processes, strengthen controls, and accelerate close cycles
- Perform deep technical troubleshooting (Python, SQL, integration diagnostics) and serve as escalation point for integration, data, and automation issues
- Lead transformation engagements with enterprise finance teams as primary technical contact
- Travel to customer sites as needed (up to 70%)
- Surface technical feedback and product gaps to Product and Engineering as roadmap input
- Build implementation guides and reusable assets to accelerate future deployments
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or comparable hands-on customer-embedded engineering role
- Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations
- Strong technical fluency to collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers as a peer
- Track record managing multiple technical deployments simultaneously under delivery pressure
- Comfort leading technical troubleshooting calls with customers and internal IT teams
- Ability to operate on both sides of the signature—building proofs-of-value under sales-cycle pressure and running systems reliably in production
- Default to automation using AI and modern tooling
- Ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate clearly to engineers and executives
- Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and ability to operate under delivery and revenue pressure
Preferred experience includes background in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, or fintech/ERP/accounting domains. Domain expertise in construction, nonprofit, manufacturing, wealth management, healthcare, franchise, or field services is valuable but not required. Non-traditional paths (veterans, management consultants, competitive programmers, PhDs) are encouraged.
