Intuit Enterprise Suite is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise finance customers and turn AI pilots into production automation. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, applied AI, and enterprise finance—reporting into Engineering but working shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales and Account Management on high-value deals and renewals.
You'll own the last mile between what core engineering ships and what customers actually run in production. Your primary responsibility is proving value: building working proofs-of-concept in customers' own data and systems before contracts are signed, then architecting and deploying customer-specific AI agent configurations that automate accounting processes. You'll partner with Account Executives from first technical touch, running discovery with finance and IT teams, leading technical evaluations (architecture, security, compliance, integration feasibility), and building ROI cases presented to CFOs and Controllers.
Key responsibilities include deep technical troubleshooting (Python, SQL, integration diagnostics), serving as escalation point for integration and data issues, leading transformation engagements with enterprise finance teams, and traveling to customer sites as needed (up to 70%). You'll maintain SLAs, document issues with full context for engineering escalation, and be the voice of the customer—surfacing technical feedback and product gaps to inform the roadmap. You'll also build implementation guides and reusable assets to accelerate future deployments.
Required qualifications: 3+ years in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, or comparable hands-on customer-embedded engineering roles. Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations. Strong technical fluency to collaborate with product and engineering teams as a peer. Track record managing multiple technical deployments simultaneously under delivery pressure. Comfort leading technical troubleshooting calls and operating on both sides of the signature—building proofs under sales-cycle pressure and running systems reliably in production. Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate insights to engineers and executives. Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
Preferred: background in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, or fintech/ERP/accounting domains. Domain expertise in construction (job costing, WIP), nonprofit (fund accounting), manufacturing (inventory, cost accounting), wealth management (client billing), healthcare (revenue cycle), or field services (job costing, billing). Non-traditional paths valued: veterans, management consultants, competitive programmers, PhDs.
