Gradial is an AI-native marketing operations platform that helps marketers and creatives move from idea to execution faster by orchestrating across martech stacks, workflows, and people. The company is Series B-backed and focused on building software that adapts to users rather than forcing users to adapt.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead technical implementations of Gradial's AI platform directly with enterprise customers. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of engineering and customer problem-solving, ideal for someone who wants to write code while shaping how major brands modernize their content operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technical discovery and implementation for new enterprise customers, translating business processes into AI-native solutions
- Build, deploy, and optimize features integrating customer systems with Gradial's LLM-driven platform
- Develop reusable tools, adapters, and configuration layers for scalable enterprise onboarding
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders (marketing, operations, engineering) to define requirements and iterate in real time
- Work closely with Gradial's product and engineering teams to incorporate field learnings into the core roadmap
- Contribute to technical documentation and implementation playbooks
- Own performance, reliability, and maintainability of deployed solutions from backend architecture to customer UX
Required qualifications:
- 1+ years of software engineering or technical implementation experience, ideally in customer-facing contexts
- Proficiency in TypeScript or similar programming languages with strong API and systems integration knowledge
- Ability to rapidly understand unfamiliar enterprise software architectures (CMS, DAM, workflow tools) and build integration paths
- Excellent communication skills translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High ownership mindset with comfort operating independently and navigating ambiguity
- Willingness to travel occasionally (<10%) for customer discovery and deployment
Nice-to-have experience includes enterprise customer work in content/marketing/digital operations and familiarity with LLMs, generative AI pipelines, and agent-style automation frameworks.
