Salary: USD 70,000 - 100,000 / annual
FourKites is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of software engineering and direct customer impact. You'll partner with enterprise customers—from initial technical discovery through post-launch support—building and deploying integration and agentic AI solutions that solve real supply chain challenges.
In this role, you'll join customer discovery and technical calls, translating complex problems into concrete solutions deployed on the spot. You'll develop new features, MVPs, and scalable solutions using LangGraph-based workflows and Agent Studio customizations to orchestrate supply chain operations. You'll design and build production-grade integrations connecting customer systems, write thorough root-cause analyses for integration failures, and own fixes through resolution. Code quality matters: you'll conduct reviews before any customer deployment and contribute to the team's reusable integration and AI workflow library.
You'll mentor incoming team members and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The team values speed, quality, and AI fluency as core operating principles.
Required: strong proficiency in Java and Python (clean, production-grade code with proper error handling and test coverage); solid data structures and algorithms fundamentals; hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic workflow design; familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent frameworks; clear communication with diverse stakeholders.
Bonus experience: supply chain, logistics, or B2B SaaS background; EDI standards, TMS/WMS systems, or carrier integrations; low-code workflow platforms (n8n, Pipedream, Temporal); visual design documentation tools (Lucidchart, draw.io); queueing systems, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
