Feathery automates data intake workflows for insurance and wealth management firms, powering mission-critical processes like underwriting, client onboarding, and automated account openings. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll be an early member of a new team responsible for delivering enterprise customer implementations at scale.
You'll own the full customer technical lifecycle—from discovery and proof-of-concept through production deployment and long-term adoption. This blends customer-facing technical architecture, workflow design and optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
Key responsibilities include architecting and implementing complex workflows on the Feathery platform, serving as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers, translating requirements into scalable solutions, and building demos and prototypes. You'll also partner with sales on technical requirements, create implementation guides and documentation, and help turn successful implementations into repeatable playbooks.
You'll contribute to product feedback by sharing customer insights that shape platform evolution, help improve onboarding processes, and mentor future team members as the function scales. The role requires strong problem-solving in workflow automation and data-intensive environments, proficiency in JavaScript (writing and troubleshooting scripts), basic Python for API debugging, and excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideal candidates have prior experience in customer-facing technical roles (Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success), comfort owning implementations end-to-end, and a proactive, resourceful mindset in a fast-paced startup. Bonus experience includes B2B SaaS fintech platforms, low-code/no-code tools, enterprise customer implementations, financial services backgrounds, or technical documentation and demo creation.
