Exiger is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with government and defense customers on mission-critical supply chain risk and AI solutions. The role combines data engineering, AI/ML expertise, and systems integration to solve complex operational challenges in defense and geopolitical risk management.
You will design and implement scalable data pipelines for ingesting and transforming supply chain datasets, apply AI/ML methods for predictive analytics and anomaly detection, and integrate AI-driven analytics into Exiger's SaaS platform. Working in small, high-trust teams embedded with customer stakeholders, you will own projects end-to-end—from architecture and data ingestion through model deployment, integration, and executive briefings.
Key responsibilities include building production-grade data pipelines, operationalizing AI models in real-world environments, developing dashboards and visualizations for senior government decision-makers, ensuring data quality and security, and supporting transformation projects that modernize customer data environments. You will work across engineering, data science, and mission delivery, translating ambiguous mission problems into structured technical solutions.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related field; 5+ years in data engineering, applied AI/ML, or scalable system integration; demonstrated experience operationalizing AI models beyond experimentation; Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; deep proficiency in Python and SQL; experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in production; familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, Redshift, and secure system integration; ability to work directly with senior government stakeholders; strong systems thinking; and willingness to travel as needed.
