Diligent is building a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) function from the ground up, with plans to grow the team to 20–25 people. The first three hires will shape how the company embeds AI agents into complex governance, risk, and compliance environments across enterprise customers.
This is a builder role, not a support or consultancy position. You will work on production-grade agentic solutions that own complex, multi-step workflows end-to-end—agents that customers can hand a task to and trust will come back done. The focus is on closing the gap between promising prototypes and solutions that boards and executive leadership teams depend on.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embed directly with major enterprise customers (global banks, regulated corporates) across the EU and US, sitting with internal audit teams, risk functions, compliance, and governance professionals to understand real workflows
- Read failing agent traces and translate discovery findings into production-grade agentic solutions
- Build AI agents for GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) professionals that automate complex workflows rather than just surface suggestions
- Work across the full lifecycle from customer discovery through deployment and iteration
- Collaborate with a small founding team to establish best practices and processes for the FDE function
You should be equally comfortable with technical debugging, customer discovery workshops, and translating business requirements into robust AI solutions. This role requires someone who can operate in ambiguity, learn quickly, and take ownership of customer outcomes.
