DevRev is building Computer, an AI teammate platform that unifies data sources, tools, and workflows into a single AI-ready system. Backed by Khosla Ventures and Mayfield with $150M+ raised, the company is trusted by global enterprises.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge customer needs and product capabilities by developing solutions on the DevRev platform. The role is 30% customer-facing and 70-80% hands-on technical implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting DevRev with customers' existing tech stacks
- Build the Knowledge Graph through integration of DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS systems via APIs, webhooks, and real-time architectures
- Apply prompt engineering and fine-tune semantic search engines to enhance AI agent accuracy
- Write SQL queries, perform data analysis, and build dashboards to surface customer insights
- Develop rapid proofs-of-concept and conduct live technical demos, iterating based on feedback
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with customers, engineering, product, customer success, and revenue teams
- Guide customers through technical adoption, code repository integrations, and advanced configurations
- Travel up to 80% for on-site implementations, technical workshops, and customer engagements
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG frameworks, and function calling
- Deep experience with large-scale data synchronization and API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
- Hands-on experience deploying on serverless platforms (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) with modern DevOps practices
- Skilled in data mapping, schema alignment, and graph data structures
- Experience implementing logging, error surfacing, and telemetry
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
Nice-to-have: Go programming, Model Context Programming (MCP) familiarity, customer-facing experience.
