As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of high-level architecture and deep technical execution. You'll embed with strategic customers to solve complex problems while simultaneously acting as a product scout—identifying patterns in customer needs and translating them into scalable core platform features.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading design and implementation of new features in the core SaaS product, building for the platform rather than individual users
- Working across the full stack: database optimization, API endpoints, and intuitive UI/UX
- Architecting production-ready integrations and workflows; leading technical workshops with stakeholders
- Writing high-quality, type-safe, maintainable code in TypeScript with modern React and Next.js patterns
- Preventing "bespoke bloat" by identifying universal customer needs and collaborating with product and engineering teams
- Contributing to CI/CD, testing, and performance monitoring
- Mentoring teammates and establishing engineering best practices
You think in terms of scalability, take 100% ownership of deployment success, and are equally comfortable whiteboarding system diagrams for CTOs and submitting pull requests for mission-critical APIs. You'll travel up to 20% to customer sites as needed.
