As a Forward-Deployed Engineer on the Integrations Engineering team, you will own high-impact, externally-facing technical projects that help customers unlock the full value of the Binti platform. This role combines deep engineering expertise with customer-facing consulting and support. Key responsibilities include: - Participate in discovery and architecture sessions with customers to design integrations that meet their needs while leveraging Binti's platform effectively - Lead co-development sessions with customers' development teams, providing live support and consulting as they integrate with Binti's APIs - Build trusted relationships with customers' technical teams, becoming a go-to partner for integration support - Provide technical support, debug integrations, and offer consultative advice to customers - Collaborate with Binti's Integrations Team to develop API improvements, connectors, and integration tools - Work cross-functionally with Program Management, Customer Support, and Sales teams - Synthesize customer feedback to drive product improvements - Champion security and privacy best practices, including HIPAA compliance You'll work on projects ranging from on-site customer discovery and integration architecture to pair programming during co-development, launching enterprise statewide customers, and post-launch support. The role involves up to 50% travel for on-site customer engagement. Required qualifications: - At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a customer-facing role (integrations engineer, consultant, or similar) - Strong startup mindset with comfort in ambiguity and MVP iteration - Experience with legacy systems, particularly in government contexts - Ability to architect, build, and maintain distributed integrated systems - Proficiency with APIs, data pipelines (ETL), and enterprise data warehouses (EDW) - Strong project management and time management skills - Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities Ideal candidates are energized by solving real-world customer problems, can visualize how complex software systems interact at their edges, and have a track record of shipping products that delight customers.
