Hightouch is an Agentic Marketing Platform powered by a Composable CDP. The company enables marketing teams to analyze performance, brainstorm ideas, and generate creative using AI. Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Customer Data Platforms, Hightouch is trusted by enterprises like Domino's, Spotify, Aritzia, Cars.com, Ramp, and PetSmart. As a Forward Deployed Architect, you will work with a small number of enterprise customers to establish their data architecture vision and deploy AI agents to build it. This is a new role on a growing team where you'll shape playbooks, standards, and engagement models. Key responsibilities include: - Run discovery with marketing and data teams to translate business goals into specific activation use cases - Profile and understand customer data, using agents for initial analysis while you validate and architect solutions - Create target-state schemas and identity matching rules that make customer data activation-ready - Design identity matching rules that support the customer's targeting grain (person, household, device, etc.) - Direct the build by reviewing agent-generated code, rewriting errors, and owning model performance - Define success metrics, agree them with the customer pre-build, and validate results - Hand off day-to-day operations while remaining the named architect for ongoing changes and rework - Build semantic layers, metric definitions, and business logic that enable marketers to ask questions in plain language - Serve as eyes and ears for product teams, identifying gaps and bringing back actionable insights You'll work at the intersection of data architecture and AI-driven development, leveraging agents as force multipliers while maintaining rigorous quality control. The role requires deep technical judgment, customer-facing leadership, and the ability to drive alignment across complex stakeholder groups. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role: analytics engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, data consulting, or in-house marketing data work at a large brand - SQL fluency: ability to read and debug complex queries, understand query performance and warehouse costs. Fluent in Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery - Proven ability to drive discovery and alignment across dozens of stakeholders with differing opinions - Comfort directing AI agents rather than writing code directly; instinct to leverage AI for leverage, not just speed - Deep understanding of data architecture, identity resolution, and marketing activation workflows BONUS: - Experience with dbt, SQLMesh, or similar transformation tooling with git-native, PR-driven workflows - Prior work with identity resolution, CDPs, or Master Data Management (MDM)
