Gruve is a Series A software services startup transforming enterprises into AI powerhouses. The company specializes in cybersecurity, customer experience, cloud infrastructure, and advanced technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs).
As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will work at the intersection of business strategy and AI technology. Your primary focus is identifying AI opportunities with business stakeholders, rapidly prototyping solutions, and delivering production-ready applications that drive measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include partnering closely with business teams to understand challenges and translate them into AI solutions; building and deploying applications using Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, RAG, APIs, and automation; using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate the full development lifecycle from prototyping through testing and deployment; working directly with users to demonstrate solutions and gather feedback for continuous improvement; and driving solutions from concept through prototype, validation, and production.
You will also evaluate emerging AI technologies for practical application, collaborate with engineering, cloud, security, and DevOps teams to productionize solutions, ensure solutions meet security and reliability standards, create reusable AI components and patterns for future projects, and serve as a technical evangelist and trusted partner for business teams.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; 2-5 years of software engineering, application development, automation, or related technical experience; strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages; hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based applications; experience with REST APIs, databases, Git, and cloud platforms; understanding of software development and engineering principles; experience with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar); and strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include experience with RAG, AI Agents, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
