Charta Health is building an operating system for modern healthcare organizations, using AI to streamline workflows across revenue cycle, clinical operations, and administrative functions. The company is backed by Bain Capital Ventures and focused on making healthcare infrastructure more efficient and accountable.
As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of deploying and customizing AI-powered solutions directly with healthcare provider clients. You'll work to understand their unique operational challenges and translate them into practical, data-driven solutions using AI and machine learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with healthcare clients to understand workflows and identify AI/ML opportunities
- Customizing and deploying Charta's AI-driven platforms to address specific client needs
- Rapidly prototyping and iterating on solutions based on client feedback
- Breaking down complex projects into actionable steps in ambiguous environments
- Exploring and integrating diverse AI/ML technologies tailored to client requirements
- Providing technical expertise and support to ensure successful deployment and adoption
- Working with the internal engineering team to provide feedback and contribute to product development
- Staying current with advancements in AI/ML and healthcare applications
Ideal candidates have strong coding skills with a focus on delivering tangible business value, adaptability to learn new technologies quickly, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments. You should excel at breaking down complex problems, have strong communication and emotional intelligence, and be excited about working with external customers. Healthcare experience, Python proficiency, LLM/prompt engineering experience, and machine learning background are valued but not required.
