CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B platform for used car trading in Europe, connecting 40,000+ professional dealers across 20+ countries. The company operates as the operating system for the automotive trading industry, integrating software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing.
You will own mobile features end-to-end, designing, building, and maintaining scalable Flutter and Dart applications from concept to production. This role emphasizes an AI-first approach: coding agents, LLMs, and AI-assisted development are embedded in the daily workflow, and you'll exercise judgment about where these tools accelerate work and where they don't.
Key responsibilities include setting technical standards for state management, networking, and UI components; driving performance optimization across weak connections and real-world dealer environments; shaping architecture and technical direction alongside product managers, designers, and backend engineers; and mentoring less experienced engineers while raising team standards.
You'll bring 3+ years of professional experience building production Flutter/Dart apps, with proven depth in complex mobile applications including state management, networking, API integration, and UI/UX components. You have command of mobile fundamentals: performance optimization, security, and accessibility. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery is expected. Critically, you work natively with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in your development workflow and have real judgment about their limitations.
The role is based in Berlin Schöneberg with a hybrid arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
