Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and sensor fusion technology. The Flight Software team develops flight computer vehicle software for all airborne vehicles, including tactical missile systems, strategic weapons, and hypersonic strike and defense systems. In this role, you will join the Air Dominance and Strike division to develop, test, and integrate cutting-edge flight software architectures for subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic autonomous systems. You'll work on mission-critical capabilities including public programs like the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) and other advanced weapons systems. Key responsibilities include: - Develop microcontroller software using real-time operating systems (RTOS) - Design and implement device drivers, protocols, and APIs for aircraft sensors - Integrate new features and sensors into flight controller software - Create aircraft control systems and autopilot logic - Build software-in-the-loop (SITL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test fixtures - Analyze flight test results and iterate on designs - Support manufacturing and operational aircraft deployments You should have 2+ years of industry experience with a strong background in embedded systems, particularly in safety-critical domains. Direct experience with DO-178 certification standards and aircraft embedded software is required. You'll need strong C/C++ programming skills, expertise in low-level embedded software architecture, microcontroller development, and ideally experience with RTOS platforms. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience is expected.
