Isar Aerospace is seeking a Flight Operations Engineer to join the Flight Operations and Licensing team in Ottobrunn, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development of real-time flight operations toolsets, including COLA services, weather assessments, and antenna pointing systems, while ensuring seamless integration with existing tools and APIs.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and manage flight operations real-time toolsets (COLA services, weather assessments, antenna pointing, etc.) and their interfaces with existing tools and APIs
• Manage processes for COLA (Collision Avoidance), antenna pointing, and flight monitoring
• Support flight operations by managing pre-flight and in-flight procedures related to mission and safety-critical systems
• Manage mission configuration for mission-critical and safety-critical systems
• Conduct mission and flight safety-critical assessments
• Interface with range safety and telemetry antenna systems
• Support flight operations from the mission control room
You will work on a wide range of topics spanning from mission planning and safety assessments to real-time operational support. The role requires strong technical expertise in aerospace systems, flight operations procedures, and software integration. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and safe mission execution.
