Anduril Industries is seeking a Flight Computer Hardware Lead to define, own, and execute the product portfolio and roadmap for critical core technology products. You will lead a cross-functional engineering team spanning Electrical, Firmware, FPGA, and Test disciplines to deliver robust embedded compute solutions for vehicle management, DSP, and networking applications.
Key responsibilities include driving the full hardware product development lifecycle from concept through requirements definition, architecture, design, development, bring-up, test, integration, and sustainment. You'll focus on high-performance PCBs including host boards for FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs. You will establish and optimize comprehensive product development workflows and best practices across the hardware and firmware lifecycle, encompassing architecture, design, simulation, verification, and system testing.
Collaboration is central to this role—you'll work extensively with internal stakeholders, product management, and customers to define product requirements, develop strategic roadmaps, and ensure scalable deployment of core technology solutions across Anduril's defense systems. You'll manage detailed product development schedules, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring clear task assignments, accountability, and timely execution.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 7+ years of experience designing and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive, or similar hardware environments, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional hardware and embedded systems teams from concept to deployment. Technical proficiency required in HDL languages (VHDL, Verilog), MCU/CPU/FPGA devices, standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB), signal and power integrity design, modern analog and digital electronics, test equipment operation, and Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tools.
Aerospace-specific expertise is essential: familiarity with flight software architectures, high-reliability aerospace design, and aircraft systems architectures with redundant systems. Preferred qualifications include understanding of RTOS and embedded software for flight-critical applications, knowledge of DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A standards, MIL-STD specifications (810, 704, 461), computer networking expertise, and experience with enhanced security measures. U.S. Top Secret security clearance eligibility required.
