Rhoda AI is building generalist intelligent robots with a full robotics stack spanning hardware, embedded systems, software, and foundation world models. The company has raised over $450M and is scaling manufacturing and research aggressively. As Fleet Response Engineer, you'll be the first engineer responding when deployed robots encounter issues. You'll triage incoming faults and alerts from customer sites and internal testing, debug across the full stack (hardware, embedded, software, sensors, networking), and coordinate with domain experts to restore operation quickly. You own incidents from first alert through root cause analysis and recovery. Key responsibilities include monitoring fleet health and prioritizing issues by severity; acting as the primary escalation point for field technicians and operations teams; debugging complex multi-subsystem problems through log analysis and telemetry review; coordinating with AI, robot software, cloud, and hardware engineering teams; performing root-cause analysis and documenting findings in a shared knowledge base; identifying reliability trends and systemic failures; and building monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tooling to catch issues proactively and enable self-service troubleshooting. You'll participate in an on-call rotation including nights and weekends as the fleet grows. The role requires strong systematic debugging skills, Linux/command-line proficiency, coding ability in Python and/or C/C++, clear communication under pressure, and willingness to travel occasionally to deployment sites. Preferred experience includes 3+ years in robotics, autonomous systems, automotive, aerospace, or industrial automation; familiarity with ROS/ROS2 and robot subsystems; prior on-call or site-reliability experience; and comfort with hardware-software interfaces.
