Yubico is a global leader in identity security and creator of the YubiKey, the original hardware-backed passkey. You will join the Firmware team to develop new features for Yubico's core products, including the YubiKey and YubiHSM. Your work will focus on implementing established cryptographic protocols and contributing to next-generation protocol design. You'll be responsible for developing, designing, and testing firmware features, writing libraries and utilities to expose functionality to higher-level applications, and developing integrations with existing systems. Key responsibilities include: - Develop, design, and test new firmware features for YubiKey and YubiHSM products - Write libraries and utilities to expose new features to applications - Develop integrations with existing systems to enable adoption of Yubico products Required qualifications: - 3+ years of experience writing software for resource-constrained microprocessors - High proficiency in C - Experience with cryptography and security (smart cards, PKCS#11, encryption schemes, cryptographic libraries) - Familiarity with Linux, git (CLI preferred), and Python or similar high-level languages - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative while being receptive to feedback - Experience integrating/building open-source software and engaging with open-source communities Yubico operates under a cultural philosophy of "Speed with Integrity," pushing boundaries in AI security and post-quantum cryptography.
