In this role, you will conduct financial crime screening checks and investigations into new applicants and existing customers. Your responsibilities include: • Using screening tools to match customer data against PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons) and Sanctions lists, and determining associated risks. • Reviewing customer profile information and transactional activity to identify financial crime risks and taking appropriate action on accounts. • Submitting internal Suspicious Activity Reports when suspicious activity is identified. • Supporting new application checks and existing customer monitoring. • Investigating potential PEP and Sanctions matches and assisting with onboarding reviews. • Monitoring activity and transactions on customer accounts. • Escalating financial crime concerns to senior management when necessary. • Contributing to process improvements and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and AI technologies. You will work 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm with a one-hour lunch break) with a hybrid arrangement requiring three days in-office weekly. You will also work one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) once every four weeks, with two weekdays off in lieu. The team's objectives are to protect customers and society by preventing fraud and financial crime, comply with financial crime regulations, minimize customer friction through timely decisions, and identify process improvements. REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team. • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. • Strong decision-making skills and excellent writing skills to document decisions. • Effective communication with customers, applicants, and senior management. • Proficient time management; comfortable meeting targets and deadlines. • Previous financial crime experience is advantageous, particularly in screening and KYC (Know Your Customer). • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions, including use of automation and AI technologies. • Demonstrated ability to leverage data, machine learning, and AI to develop and optimize strategies for fraud and financial crime detection and prevention.
