The Financial Crime Compliance Manager will join Revolut's second line of defence, focusing on sanctions oversight and compliance. This role sits within the Financial Crime team, which blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to ensure products meet legal and policy requirements while delivering customer value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring sanctions regulatory changes and assessing their impact on operations
- Drafting, maintaining, and updating FinCrime policies related to sanctions and terrorism financing
- Overseeing the sanctions screening framework, including tool parameters and effectiveness
- Advising on complex sanctions cases and managing reporting to authorities
- Contributing to the internal control framework through risk assessments, control design, indicators, incident tracking, and recommendations
- Providing second line of defence support to business and first line FinCrime teams during product launches, procedure updates, and system implementations
- Supporting FinCrime training and awareness programs for employees
This is a hands-on compliance role requiring deep expertise in sanctions regulations, financial crime prevention, and regulatory communications. The successful candidate will work in a fast-moving digital environment, designing scalable solutions to prevent financial crime while supporting innovation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in FinCrime (sanctions and/or terrorism financing), covering retail and business customers
- Understanding of innovative financial services products (crypto, buy now-pay later, etc.) and associated financial crime risks
- Expertise in sanctions regulations and communications with authorities
- Knowledge of sanctions screening tools
- Understanding of industry-wide financial crime practices and trends
- Exposure to the French sanctions regime
- Expertise in identifying financial crime risks and vulnerabilities, and advising on best practices
- Track record of stakeholder management with strong collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills
- Fluency in English
NICE TO HAVE:
- Professional qualification from an internationally recognised body (e.g., ICA, ACAMS)
- Fluency in French
