Salary: CAD 85,000 - 100,000 / annual

The company operates across Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, serving credit unions, portfolio managers, investment dealers, insurance and trust companies, and introducing brokers.
The Financial Crime Analyst will join the Compliance team, reporting to the Manager AML Compliance. This role is responsible for reviewing incidents of suspected fraud and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policy controls, and conducting in-depth investigations with appropriate remedial actions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day analysis and assessment of fraud and AML alerts, including detailed review of client records and account activity
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., other financial institutions) as required
- Documentation of actions and information reviewed throughout investigations to develop and maintain case files, including drafting investigation reports and regulatory filings
- Remediation of activity deemed fraudulent or suspicious per regulatory and internal policies
- Identification of opportunities through fraud case analysis and business process review to enhance internal policies, procedures, and controls
- High-risk client monitoring
- Provision of fraud and AML guidance and clarification on requirements to stakeholders
- Support for compliance initiatives as needed

Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a securities dealer environment (experience in fraud, AML, or compliance roles is an asset)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigation skills
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Proven ability to build and develop mutually beneficial relationships at all levels
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS), Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) designation is an asset
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written); bilingual skills in French are an asset
