Destinus is revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and advanced aerospace technologies. As a Financial Accountant (Treasury), you will be at the heart of the company's financial operations, ensuring payments flow smoothly, cash positions remain accurate, and financial transactions are managed with precision.
You will support daily treasury operations within the Group Treasury team, working closely with Finance and Accounting colleagues. Your responsibilities will include preparing, processing, and monitoring domestic and international payments with accurate and timely execution. You'll upload payment files to online banking platforms and follow up on payment execution, record bank transactions and payments in the accounting system, and perform bank reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Additional duties include monitoring bank balances to support daily cash management activities, maintaining complete records and supporting documentation for treasury transactions, supporting intercompany payments and reconciliations across the group, and liaising with banks and internal departments on payment-related matters. You will contribute to month-end closing and financial reporting activities, follow internal controls and treasury policies, and identify opportunities to improve treasury processes and operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Previous experience in financial accounting, treasury operations, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with online banking platforms and payment processing
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bank reconciliations
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a strong advantage)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Clear communication skills and collaborative approach
- Fluency in English (Dutch is an advantage)
