Creative Fabrica is a fast-growing AI platform enabling everyday consumers to create images, videos, audio, and 3D content using generative AI models. You will join a small, hands-on Finance team as a Financial Accountant, reporting to the Head of Accounting.
You will own core accounting operations and month-end close activities, including:
**Accounts Payable:** Process and code invoices, manage the finance mailbox, resolve AP issues (duplicates, mismatches, outstanding items), run weekly/monthly payments (SEPA, PayPal), reconcile corporate card transactions, and maintain vendor records.
**Reconciliations & General Accounting:** Perform bank, credit card, and AP subledger reconciliations; prepare and post journal entries (including recurring entries and revenue recognition); support month-end/year-end close and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies and unusual transactions proactively.
**VAT, Tax & Compliance:** Prepare Dutch VAT returns (OB, OSS, ICP) and support WKR compliance; assist with international VAT/GST/sales tax filings; liaise with external tax advisors; stay current on Dutch/EU tax regulation changes.
**Audit & Process Improvement:** Support external audits with schedules and documentation; improve NetSuite processes, bank feed/expense integrations, and identify automation opportunities (including AI) across Finance workflows.
You will work extensively in Oracle NetSuite, collaborate across the business, and liaise with vendors and external parties. This role is designed for an experienced accounting professional who wants to broaden responsibilities and develop into a broader Accountant role, with exposure to complex accounting processes, international tax matters, and finance projects.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years in a similar accounting role with strong fundamentals and Dutch GAAP experience
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Solid grasp of Dutch/EU VAT (OB, OSS, ICP filings) and WKR
- Degree or relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Strong attention to detail and structured, organized approach to work
- Proactive mindset with ability to investigate issues and find practical solutions
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small Finance team
- Experience in revenue recognition
