Re:Build Manufacturing is revitalizing America's manufacturing base by operating an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies and innovators to take products from concept to full-scale production in critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.
You will lead the Finance Operations function at one of Re:Build's manufacturing facilities, reporting to the General Manager. This is a hands-on manager role where you will directly supervise a Staff Accountant and serve as the financial business partner to operations, engineering, and supply chain leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the monthly financial close process and deliver accurate, timely reporting to leadership
- Partner with the General Manager and operations leadership to translate financial performance into actionable business insights
- Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts aligned with strategic goals
- Build and track operational benchmarks and input metrics that drive continuous improvement
- Mentor and develop the Staff Accountant, providing coaching and professional growth opportunities
- Transform financial data into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to support new product launches and business development
- Continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and identify automation opportunities
- Serve as the financial liaison between the facility and Re:Build corporate finance
- Support business development with cost modeling, pricing analysis, and financial feasibility assessments
- Champion a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, and financial literacy
This role requires a "go to the gemba" mindset—you will regularly walk the production floor, observe manufacturing processes, and build relationships with operators, engineers, and supervisors. The best financial insights come from understanding how the business actually works, not just reviewing spreadsheets.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial operations or management accounting
- Background includes exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, operational metrics, and cross-functional collaboration
- Comfort building forecasts, closing the books, and engaging with production floor operations
- Manufacturing experience is not necessary; the right operational mindset and financial acumen are what matter
