Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 / annual
Via is a transportation technology platform transforming public transit systems into smart, data-driven networks. As a Field Operations Manager, you will lead daily onsite operations for Via's transit services, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders across the community.
You will own the day-to-day operational execution of the service, making real-time decisions about fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs. You'll respond quickly to unexpected issues and continuously work to elevate both rider and driver experience. A key part of your role is building and maintaining strong relationships with drivers—addressing their concerns, providing support, and ensuring they feel equipped to deliver excellent service.
You will act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via's central teams, translating community goals into actionable service improvements. You'll gather rider and community feedback, identify patterns, and collaborate with internal teams to implement thoughtful operational enhancements. Leveraging data and technology, you'll diagnose service performance issues and implement solutions that drive efficiency and improve the rider experience.
This is a high-ownership, boots-on-the-ground role requiring 4–5 days per week onsite in the Frisco/Denton area. You'll be hands-on in the field, learning the service firsthand and solving problems where they occur.
Requirements:
- Operationally experienced with a background in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work
- Relationship-oriented; able to earn trust from drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners through clear communication and follow-through
- Hands-on and proactive; prefer to be in the field and solve problems at their source
- Tactical and strategic; able to address immediate issues while thinking long-term about systemic solutions
- Mission-driven; motivated by expanding access to transportation and improving community mobility
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Denton or Frisco area
- Available to work onsite 4–5 days per week
