As Field Marketing Manager, you will own the complete lifecycle of assigned events—from contract signature through post-event metrics review and renewal decisions. You'll manage a portfolio of tradeshows, summits, executive roundtables, and dinners, treating each as your own business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full event ownership: selection, go/no-go decisions, creative strategy, vendor negotiation, on-the-ground execution, and post-event analysis
- Event ROI optimization: model cost-per-ICP-meeting, set performance targets, and defend renewal decisions with data
- Creative execution: develop bold, differentiated ideas that help a fast-growing startup stand out in crowded venues while sharpening brand messaging
- Operational excellence: manage booth logistics, swag, travel, scanner counts, team coverage, and advance deadlines with zero slips
- Vendor management: negotiate package tiers, speaking slots, and pricing; identify cost-saving alternatives
- Playbook development: systematize each event through keep/add/cut/rework reviews to improve performance and reduce costs over time
- Team coordination: ensure full marketing, sales, and SE coverage from event open to close, including post-event debrief and follow-up conversion
- Reporting: maintain clean dashboards with targets, actuals, and percent-to-goal for CMO and leadership visibility
The role requires strategic planning, hands-on execution, creative thinking, and disciplined financial management. You'll be resourceful under budget constraints, comfortable with numbers and modeling, detail-obsessed on logistics, and focused on driving measurable ICP meetings as the primary success metric.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to own events end-to-end with strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Creative and bold thinking; comfort making an impact on a startup budget
- Strong analytical skills: modeling scenarios, setting cost-per-meeting targets, defending decisions with data
- Meticulous attention to detail in logistics, contracts, and deadlines
- Resourcefulness and cost discipline; preference for engineering solutions over spending
- Ideally NYC-based (office located in Flatiron district, New York City)
