Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is hiring Field Engineers to be the technical face of the company with prospective and strategic enterprise customers. You'll partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements with engineering leaders, architects, and developers. Your responsibilities include building trusted relationships with technical stakeholders, translating customer requirements into solution designs, and guiding customers on best practices for rollout, prompt strategy, and context configuration.
You'll develop and deliver technical presentations, whiteboard sessions, and hands-on workshops tailored to customer needs. Acting as the customer's technical advocate internally, you'll influence roadmap priorities and escalate feedback to Product and Engineering teams. You'll collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs and successful customer onboarding, maintain deep knowledge of Cursor's capabilities and competitive positioning, and support strategic account planning to drive expansion opportunities with technical validation.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication skills and executive presence; equally comfortable coding alongside developers or presenting to CTOs
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, modern engineering org structures, and developer productivity challenges
- Hands-on technical ability; fluency in technical workflows, AI tooling, and debugging complex environments (full-time engineering background not required)
- Customer-obsessed mindset with ability to translate technical details into business impact
- Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Consulting for enterprise software
- Thrives in startup environment: resourceful, adaptable, and proactive in creating solutions
