Efficient Computer is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the Sales Support team. The company is rethinking computing from the ground up to solve AI's biggest challenges around energy efficiency. Their Fabric architecture delivers 10–100x improvement in energy efficiency for general-purpose computation, including AI, while supporting familiar programming languages and software frameworks. With their first processor, Electron E1, now shipping in volume and over $97 million in Series B financing recently announced, they are accelerating customer deployments and scaling their architecture to data center performance.
As a Field Application Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between customers and the engineering team, guiding customers from first evaluation through design-in and production. You'll work directly with customers to help demonstrate the value of Efficient's breakthrough technology and help write the playbook for how a new processor architecture is adopted in the market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and presenting Efficient's technical value proposition to customers, from engineers to executives
- Understanding customer applications and system requirements, and proposing optimal Efficient-based solutions
- Partnering with Regional Sales Managers, distributors and representatives to secure design-wins and drive them to production
- Providing hands-on technical support throughout the design cycle, from evaluation and board bring-up to debugging and optimization
- Building custom demos, proofs of concept and benchmarks that show Efficient's performance and energy advantage
- Responding quickly and accurately to technical inquiries, RFQs and customer escalations, coordinating with internal engineering as needed
- Authoring reference designs, application notes and training materials for customers and channel partners
- Serving as the voice of the customer, feeding requirements and competitive insights back to Product and Engineering
- Building and maintaining strong technical relationships with key customer engineering teams
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, up to 25% of time
You'll work in a fast-paced startup environment where processes are still being built, with opportunities to take ownership and make immediate impact on the growth of the Sales organization.
