Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual
Hadrian is building autonomous factories that enable aerospace and defense manufacturers to produce rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and 2x cheaper. The company combines advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to reindustrialize American production. Backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, and Lux Capital, Hadrian is expanding rapidly with Factory 3 launching in Mesa, Arizona, and new initiatives including Hadrian Maritime for naval production.
As a Factory Simulation Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor on the Factory Automation team, designing and deploying simulation systems that drive rapid decision-making across Hadrian's factory network. You will develop low-, mid-, and high-fidelity simulations supporting manufacturing domains including forging, casting, machining, welding, and assembly. Your work directly shapes the capabilities of future factories through hands-on technical execution and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and leadership.
Key responsibilities include: developing and refining simulations aligned with factory build and optimization goals; converting layout concepts into discrete event simulation (DES) and 3D models; collaborating across teams to deliver data-driven insights; maintaining and enhancing the simulation toolchain for scalability; and creating a library of parametric, reusable simulation assets.
You bring strong systems thinking balanced with rapid prototyping and sustainable design. You have demonstrated experience with Python (OOP), Visual Components, Omniverse, or similar simulation tools. You excel at distilling technical results into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences and are self-driven, capable of taking initiatives from concept to functional MVP. Familiarity with kinematics, discrete event simulation, factory flows, and production methodologies is essential.
What sets you apart: ability to rapidly prototype while managing long-term codebase health; excellent cross-functional communication with user-focused storytelling; broad technical skills including debugging, plugin/extension development (Python/C#), and data modeling; background in industrial engineering (line balancing, ROI analysis); and proficiency with 3D modeling platforms (SolidWorks, NX, Blender), Siemens TeamCenter, and automated parametric asset creation.
