Salary: USD 95,000 - 230,000 / annual

Answer Engineering, a Re:Build Manufacturing company, is an aerospace design and analysis firm serving customers globally on challenging engineering problems including electric vertical take-off platforms (EVTOL) and space tourism. As an Experienced Design Engineer, you will lead the design of aerospace structures and mentor teams of younger engineers across all program phases: concept design, prototyping, analysis, modeling, drafting, manufacturing, testing, and flight. Key responsibilities include designing primary and secondary aerospace structures and systems; creating and delivering CAD models and presentations to customers; communicating across engineering disciplines to drive program-critical decisions; identifying core issues and developing solutions with clear cross-functional communication; leading, mentoring, and collaborating with internal and external engineering teams; and developing supporting materials such as bills of materials, assembly procedures, and weight optimization trades. You will bring 5+ years of proven aerospace or mechanical engineering experience with demonstrated expertise designing composite and metallic parts and assemblies. An engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is required. You must be a US citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Desired qualifications include systems design experience (flight controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems); proficiency with multiple CAD programs (Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor, NX, Creo); familiarity with analysis packages (FEMAP, NASTRAN); proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) design methodologies; solid understanding of aerospace materials, hardware, and fabrication techniques; rapid prototyping experience; hands-on experience with machining and composite layup; test plan development and structural testing experience; and comfort working on Military/DoD projects.
