Via is a TransitTech leader building modern public transportation networks globally. As Expansion Manager at Via Japan, you will drive growth and operational excellence for the Tokyo team, supporting the full partnership lifecycle with municipalities and transportation operators.
You'll own high-visibility initiatives that help Japan partners adopt and optimize Via's technology platform. Key responsibilities include driving CRM excellence and sales pipeline visibility, ensuring teams have clear data and momentum to advance opportunities. You'll support the sales team in scoping solutions that address partner mobility challenges, from early project scoping through launch execution and ongoing optimization.
You'll analyze transportation, operational, and rider behavior data to uncover insights and shape performance recommendations and service design adjustments. Serving as a communication hub, you'll bridge partners and Via's global teams (sales, product, engineering, operations, marketing) to ensure alignment and smooth execution. You'll troubleshoot operational or product challenges with speed and empathy, escalating thoughtfully to help partners achieve long-term success.
The role requires representing Via professionally in meetings, workshops, and presentations with fluency in both English and Japanese. You'll be at the center of partner engagement, operational insight, and strategic decision-making for the Japan market.
You bring 3+ years of relevant experience in SaaS, mobility, operations, implementation, customer success, or solution engineering. You have strong communication skills in both English and Japanese (verbal and written), including client-facing experience. You're tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools, systems, and product concepts. Experience working with municipalities, public sector partners, or transportation operators is valued. You understand mobility, transit operations, or technology platforms. You're a proactive, resourceful problem-solver who enjoys tackling ambiguous challenges.
