Salary: USD 290,000 - 340,000 / annual

Voyager Space is seeking an Executive Vice President of Engineering to lead and scale the engineering organization for its Space, Defense & National Security division. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the President, responsible for setting technical vision, driving organizational roadmap, and delivering high-quality, mission-critical products aligned with business goals. Key responsibilities include: leading and developing a high-performing engineering organization across multiple locations through hiring, mentoring, and performance management; owning the full product lifecycle from concept through development, testing, certification, delivery, and post-deployment support; establishing engineering excellence standards across system design, development processes, and quality; overseeing product architecture for scalability and reliability; defining and managing technical roadmaps aligned with company priorities and customer needs; partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and business development; ensuring cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, finance, and business teams; driving proactive risk management across programs; and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; 15+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or comparable high-technology industry; 10+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and complex technical programs; experience with modern engineering methodologies; proven track record leading product development across full lifecycle; strong systems-level thinking; demonstrated ability to scale engineering teams in fast-growing or complex environments; experience managing cross-functional initiatives and aligning technical execution with business strategy; excellent communication and executive-level influence skills. Preferred: Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.); senior leadership experience within engineering organizations; experience driving engineering process improvements and organizational transformation; familiarity with governmental and commercial quality management systems; experience with government and commercial customers on complex, regulated programs. Travel up to 35% required, including possible overnights at various company locations. Position based in Long Beach, CA or Denver Metro Area, CO; onsite role.
