Dirac is building BuildOS, a creative suite for manufacturing engineering that consolidates fragmented workflows (process plans, MBOMs, routings, work instructions, PLM, ERP) into a single environment. Manufacturing engineers use BuildOS to author, version, review, and distribute the canonical definition of how products are produced—positioning Dirac as the owner of the Build, similar to how Figma owns the design file and GitHub owns the repo.
You will be Dirac's first dedicated operations hire outside the leadership team, reporting to and working directly with the executive team. At a 30-person venture-backed company, this role has real ownership and scope from day one, not a narrow task list. As the company scales, so does the role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the CEO's calendar, inbox, and meeting preparation to maximize executive time
- Planning complex travel for customer visits, trade shows, and international trips across time zones
- Preparing briefing documents, agendas, and follow-ups to ensure continuity between meetings
- Serving as a trusted partner on confidential matters including fundraising, hiring, and board activities
- Running the office operations at the Empire State Building location: vendor management, supplies, facilities coordination
- Shaping the daily office experience through meals, snacks, and workspace culture
- Planning team events and offsites
- Supporting expense tracking, vendor invoicing, and general business operations
You'll have a front-row seat to how a venture-backed company scales. Your work will shape how the entire organization operates. The office is positioned as a place people love coming to, and you'll ensure nothing falls through the cracks across the leadership team.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience supporting executives or running an office, ideally at a startup, VC fund, or fast-paced professional services firm
- Confident calendar and travel management across multiple time zones
- Proactive mindset: anticipate needs before being asked
- Clear, warm, concise writing; you'll represent the CEO in external communications
- Fluency in Google Workspace and Slack with ability to quickly adopt new tools
- Proven discretion with confidential information
Nice to have:
- Experience planning trade shows, offsites, or events for 30+ people
- Experience using AI tools to automate scheduling, notes, or administrative work
- Curiosity about manufacturing, hardware, or deep tech
Note: Employment is restricted to U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR.
