MasterClass is seeking an Events Manager to own live events end-to-end, with initial focus on MasterClass Executive, a cohort-based business education program. You will produce weekly virtual sessions, intimate learner gatherings, and multi-day in-person experiences that serve as program highlights.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end production of live virtual sessions, including scheduling, run-of-show, rehearsals, speaker prep, platform setup, moderation, Q&A, and real-time troubleshooting
- Planning and executing in-person experiences ranging from intimate dinners to multi-day cohort experiences, managing venues, production, AV, vendors, travel, and on-site execution
- Managing the MasterClass events calendar, coordinating instructor and practitioner availability, programming needs, and learner time zones
- Serving as primary logistics partner for instructors, guest practitioners, and their teams
- Building scalable event operations including run-of-show templates, production checklists, escalation paths, backup plans, and post-event workflows
- Owning event budgets, vendor management, contracts, and negotiations
- Partnering with Community, Marketing, Product, and channel leads to drive attendance and learner experience
- Using event data, feedback, and AI-enabled tools to continuously improve programming
Required qualifications: 6+ years of event management, production, or experiential programming experience across both recurring virtual events and multi-day in-person experiences. Deep experience producing live virtual programming with calm troubleshooting under pressure. Proven venue, vendor, AV, contract, budget, and on-site execution management. Exceptional project management and organizational skills managing weekly cadence alongside larger builds. Strong communication with high-profile speakers, executives, and talent. Comfortable with event technology, data, and emerging AI tools. Willing to travel and flex working hours across time zones. Must be based in eligible US states (AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA) or Canadian provinces (Ontario, British Columbia).
