Diamond Foundry is a venture-backed, profitable unicorn solving thermal limitations in AI & cloud compute, electric-vehicle power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. The company has produced the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and is executing a multi-billion-dollar expansion plan to manufacture diamond wafers using zero-emission energy and greenhouse-gas conversion. As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist, you will be responsible for managing critical safety programs and ensuring regulatory compliance across Diamond Foundry's manufacturing and R&D operations in the Bay Area. Key responsibilities include: • Manage and audit Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Respiratory Protection programs, including fit testing and cartridge selection. • Conduct thorough reviews of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and regulatory compliance documentation. • Lead continuous hazard identification walks, compliance audits, and incident investigations across manufacturing and R&D operations. • Deliver site-specific EHS training modules to employees and contractors on safety protocols and emergency procedures. • Maintain records to ensure full compliance with local, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and regional environmental regulations. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or similar field. • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification, or actively pursuing one. • Training or certifications in DTSC, DOT, RCRA, BAAQMD, CUPA, HazWoper, Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/AED, or related areas. • 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, tech-hardware, chemical, or foundry environment. • Deep hands-on experience with LOTO procedures, permit-required confined spaces, and respiratory protection standards. • Demonstrated strength in reviewing, drafting, and improving EHS policies, JHAs, and SOPs. • Strong interpersonal skills to drive a proactive safety culture across shift teams and site leadership.
