Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to be the first field-based solutions engineer in Ireland, supporting the expansion of Verkada's physical security and access control platform into Fortune 500 accounts across the region.
Verkada provides an integrated, AI-powered platform combining video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. The company has 30,000+ customers (including 100+ Fortune 500 companies), a $5.8B valuation, and over $1 billion in annualized bookings.
In this role, you will:
- Partner directly with field account executives to expand Verkada's footprint upmarket into enterprise customers
- Serve as the subject matter authority on the full Verkada product suite, articulating value to customers throughout the sales cycle
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, overcoming objections and securing technical wins
- Interface with customers and partners at all levels, from C-suite executives to IT directors and loss prevention managers
- Design Verkada solutions covering network security, bandwidth requirements, product selection, deployment architecture, cloud security RFPs, and LTE deployments
- Develop territory strategy in collaboration with Account Executives and the Head of UKI
- Attend and present at industry conferences, providing thought leadership
- Serve as a product technical evangelist, training partners, customers, and internal teams
- Author white papers and knowledge base articles on Verkada products and integrations
- Travel extensively (50%+ of time) for customer and partner engagements, both domestic and international
Requirements:
- Based in Dublin or willing to relocate
- Fluent in English; additional languages ideal
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer with proven track record working with Fortune 500 companies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or IT Security from an accredited university
- Strong networking background: HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, firewalls, and software systems
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English (note: posting mentions Finnish, likely an error)
- Industry certifications preferred: AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISCP, CSP
- Experience with APIs, Python, and other coding languages (a plus)
- Linux systems experience (ideal, not required)
- Previous startup experience (ideal, not required)
