Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to be the first field-based technical expert in South Europe, supporting the expansion of Verkada's integrated physical security and AI platform into Fortune 500 accounts.
Verkada provides an AI-powered platform combining video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. The company has 30,000+ customers (including 100+ Fortune 500 companies), $5.8B valuation, and $1B+ annualized bookings.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the full Verkada product suite, articulating value to customers throughout the sales cycle
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, overcoming objections and securing technical wins alongside Account Executives
- Design comprehensive Verkada solutions including network security recommendations, bandwidth requirements, product selection, cloud security RFPs, and LTE deployments
- Present solutions to all customer levels—from C-suite to loss prevention and IT directors
- Develop territory strategy with Account Executives and the Head of South Europe
- Build and enable local partner ecosystem
- Serve as a product technical evangelist through training, conferences, thought leadership, and content creation (white papers, knowledge base articles)
- Travel extensively (50%+) across domestic and international destinations for customer and partner engagements
This is a hybrid role based in Milan, requiring relocation if not already based there.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years as a Sales Engineer with proven Fortune 500 experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or IT Security from an accredited university
- Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish (additional languages a plus)
- Strong networking background: HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, firewalls, software systems
- Industry certifications preferred (AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Azure, CISCP, CSP)
- Experience with APIs, Python, and other coding languages (plus, not required)
- Linux systems experience (ideal, not required)
- Startup experience (ideal, not required)
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Milan
