Salary: USD 115,000 - 175,000 / annual
Tanium is seeking an Enterprise Services Engineer (ESE) to serve as a hands-on technical expert supporting enterprise customers in both remote and on-site engagements. You will operate within a collaborative team environment alongside Technical Support Engineers, fellow ESEs, Customer Success Managers, and Sales Account Managers.
In this role, you will operationalize, administer, and maintain the Tanium platform to solve complex technical issues independently or with teammates. You'll identify opportunities for customers to extract greater value from the platform and communicate customer needs clearly through strong verbal and written communication. Key responsibilities include:
- Operationalize and maintain the Tanium Platform, solving complex technical issues independently or collaboratively
- Identify opportunities for customers to gain greater value from Tanium
- Conduct daily health-checks on assigned accounts and work strategically with Technical Support Engineers
- Identify and rapidly escalate tier 3 support cases to appropriate teams
- Contribute to activity tracking, after-action reports, root cause analysis, and daily status reports
- Document best practices and create Playbook entries
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers on improving Tanium operational status within key accounts
- Provide technical direction to customer IT support staff
You'll work in large enterprise environments, leveraging Tanium's platform to drive Operations, Risk, Compliance, Asset, and Security-focused outcomes. This is a customer-facing role requiring both technical depth and strong communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
- Active Secret clearance required (mandatory)
- 5+ years of experience in IT/Consulting
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
- Hands-on Tanium experience (major plus)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to articulate and communicate effectively
- Broad knowledge across multiple technical domains with deep expertise in one or more of: Endpoint Security, Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting, Incident Response, Systems Management, Systems Administration, Software Engineering, or Utility Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc.)
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Ability to break problems into manageable, ordered components
- Ability to convey problem statements and plans of attack to others
