As Engineering Team Lead on the Cloud Platform team, you will lead a product squad responsible for mission-critical systems powering Mistral's cloud infrastructure. This is a hybrid technical and management role where you balance hands-on engineering contributions with team leadership. Key responsibilities include: - Empowering your team by removing obstacles and fostering an environment for high-quality product development - Owning your team's roadmap delivery with focus on reliability, performance, and accountability - Partnering with Product Managers to define priorities, scope initiatives, and drive technical and business decisions - Staying hands-on with architecture design, system design, coding, and technical decision-making to lead by example - Defining and evolving team processes, best practices, and execution rituals - Raising the engineering bar by challenging the team to take ownership, grow, and improve knowledge sharing Required qualifications: - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience - 8+ years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years building and leading high-performing engineering teams - Proficiency in server-side programming languages, preferably Golang, with strong backend fundamentals (APIs, databases, caching, distributed architectures) - Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) or bare-metal infrastructure - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, design, business) - Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills - Autonomous, self-starting mindset with a low-ego, team-first attitude Mistral offers a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, and location-specific perks.
