ICEYE, the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, is seeking an Engineering Supply Chain Manager (Electronics) to join its Global Supply Chain organization in Espoo, Finland. This is a hands-on management role supporting fast-paced hardware engineering teams designing and building electronic systems for satellite constellations. You will serve as the supply chain counterpart for multiple, rapidly evolving electronics projects, working from project kick-off through prototype iteration and into production readiness. Your core mission is to identify long-lead items and critical components early in the design cycle, secure them proactively, and prevent supply bottlenecks from delaying engineering timelines. You'll advise engineers in real time on how component choices affect availability, lead time, cost, and obsolescence risk. When design changes or supply disruptions threaten schedules, you'll rapidly identify alternatives and execute workarounds within hours. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as an active member of engineering project teams, reviewing BOMs during design phases and translating evolving concepts into actionable sourcing steps with minimal delay. - Own sourcing and procurement of electronic components, PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, connectors, harnesses, sensors, RF parts, and embedded modules. - Run fast quoting and supplier selection to meet engineering build commitments; lead rapid alternative-sourcing efforts when shortages occur. - Manage relationships with PCB fabricators, electronics manufacturing partners, and component distributors; negotiate priority build slots and expedited shipments. - Maintain complete visibility into prototype schedules, engineering changes, and material risks; communicate frequently across engineering, manufacturing, program management, and operations. - Build and maintain a living view of supply risks (obsolescence, allocation, single-source parts, counterfeit risk, export restrictions) and qualify alternatives early. - Keep purchasing and material data accurate in the ERP system with clean traceability and build-readiness status. - Prepare Production for handover by communicating R&D supply chain risks and critical components early, ensuring realistic lead times and qualified suppliers are in place before series production. You will thrive in startup-like conditions with tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and incomplete information. This role requires a proactive, solution-driven mindset and the ability to act before problems arrive. REQUIREMENTS: Must-haves: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Supply Chain, or similar. - 5+ years of direct experience in electronics sourcing, component procurement, or engineering supply chain roles in fast-moving hardware environments. - Strong technical understanding of semiconductors, passive components, PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, embedded electronics, and prototyping flows. - Hands-on experience interpreting electronic schematics, BOMs, AVL requirements, PCB stackups, and manufacturing documentation. - Hands-on experience running purchasing and material management through an ERP system. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in startup-like conditions: tight deadlines, shifting priorities, incomplete information, and rapid cycles. - Confident negotiator, commercially and technically, able to influence engineers, program managers, and suppliers without formal authority. - Professional English, written and spoken. Nice-to-haves: - Engineering electronics background and knowledge of design tools. - Experience in space, aerospace, defense, hardware startups, or other deep-tech R&D environments. - Exposure to taking a hardware design from prototype into series production. - Existing relationships with PCB/PCBA vendors, distributors, and electronics manufacturing partners. - Certifications (APICS, PMP, Six Sigma). - Familiarity with rapid-prototyping suppliers, global component marketplaces, and digital sourcing tools.
