LeoLabs is building a global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform for space domain awareness, tracking over 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit. The Hardware Engineering Team designs, builds, manufactures, and deploys advanced radar systems for commercial and government customers worldwide.
As Engineering Project Manager for Radar Hardware, you will drive execution across complex hardware development and production projects. You will partner with mechanical engineering, RF and electrical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program leadership to translate project goals into clear schedules, deliverables, owners, and execution plans.
This is a hands-on project management role for someone who understands the full hardware lifecycle: from requirements and design through procurement, build, test, deployment, and sustainment. You will help the Hardware Engineering Team stay aligned, surface risks early, and deliver radar hardware on schedule. The role is based in Menlo Park, California, and occasional travel may be required to support suppliers, integration, or field activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and timelines
- Coordinating across cross-functional teams (mechanical, RF, electrical, manufacturing, supply chain)
- Identifying and mitigating project risks
- Tracking deliverables and ensuring accountability
- Managing procurement and supply chain activities
- Supporting integration, testing, and field deployment activities
- Communicating project status to leadership
Requirements:
- Experience managing complex hardware development and production projects
- Understanding of hardware lifecycle from design through sustainment
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- ITAR eligibility: Must be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State per International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
