The company is building Zo, an AI-powered phone assistant that handles unlimited inbound scheduling calls using natural language processing and voice technology, eliminating hold times and enabling 24/7 instant appointment scheduling.
As Engineering Manager for Zo, you will lead a team of software engineers building this cutting-edge LLM-based product. Your responsibilities include managing and growing the engineering team, partnering with Product, Design, and Sales to develop technical strategy and roadmap, mentoring engineers to maintain high code quality while shipping features at velocity, and ensuring the platform meets standards for security, scale, performance, and uptime.
You'll work hands-on with voice AI technologies, microservice architectures, AWS cloud infrastructure, and modern development stacks (React/JS frontend, C#/Python backend). You'll collaborate across the organization on engineering culture, career development, and building an inclusive technology workforce. The role requires balancing technical leadership with strategic vision—you'll guide code and system design reviews while setting direction for how the team delivers value to healthcare providers and patients.
