Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. The company recently closed a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding its manufacturing footprint and Factory-as-a-Service platform.
The Technical Data Intelligence team has the mission of making engineering data legible to automation. This involves ingesting high-variance engineering design data from drawings and CAD models to assess manufacturability, plan build processes, and drive manufacturing process automation. The team includes machine learning engineers and fullstack software engineers working on agent development, classical ML, and systems for tracking and mutating data.
As Engineering Manager, you will own people leadership of your engineers including hiring, onboarding, mentorship, career growth, and performance management. You'll stay technically hands-on as a player-coach, participating in design reviews and contributing directly when it helps the team move faster or clears critical paths. You'll set technical direction and headcount allocation in partnership with technical leads, build annotation tooling, implement active learning loops, and engineer synthetic data augmentation strategies. Your focus is ensuring engineers are engaged, growing, and set up to do their best work.
You should have 2-5+ years of engineering management experience leading machine learning engineering teams in production, with strong technical depth in machine learning, computer vision (detection/segmentation), multimodal image+text models, and/or data engineering. You need strong judgment on organizational design, production deployment ownership experience, and a track record of running healthy teams with clear expectations and direct feedback. A heavy interest in manufacturing is essential—either past exposure or genuine excitement to learn from experts. Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills are required.
What will set you apart: a strong sense of connecting technical work and product development to business outcomes; a track record of scaling teams through fast headcount growth; and experience mentoring engineers into broader technical leadership roles.
