Plaid is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Supplier Products team, which builds trusted, transparent experiences for financial institutions within Plaid's ecosystem. You will manage a team of 6 engineers spanning mid-level to Staff-level talent, providing clear goal-setting, coaching, and feedback to drive their growth and performance. In this role, you'll define and execute long-term strategy for the Supplier Products focus area in partnership with technical and product leaders across Plaid. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to identify high-leverage opportunities, shape the product roadmap, and engage deeply in technical design and execution details to ensure consistent delivery of high-impact business outcomes. You'll uphold a high bar for technical quality and delivery velocity, leading by example and fostering a culture of excellence. Plaid powers the financial connectivity layer for thousands of companies—including Venmo, SoFi, Fortune 500 firms, and major banks—enabling millions of people to connect their financial accounts to apps and services they use daily. The company's network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, Plaid has offices in New York, Washington D.C., London, and Amsterdam. You'll bring 8+ years of industry experience, including time as a Staff-level engineer before transitioning to management, plus 1+ years of engineering management experience. You have deep expertise designing scalable, reliable architectures that support real-world products at scale, and a proven track record building and growing high-performing engineering teams.
