Skydropx is innovating logistics across Latin America, and we're seeking an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing teams building critical infrastructure. You'll manage engineers working with Ruby on Rails and .NET, owning both technical direction and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver committed roadmaps with closed scope, estimated effort, and on-time execution
- Develop and review code for high-risk, high-complexity changes: critical features, migrations, regional refactors, and hotfixes
- Resolve complex technical problems and prevent recurrence through alerts, tests, guards, and documentation
- Provide architecture and design direction; maintain code style, maintainability, and best practices at scale
- Own production stability: triage, attribute, fix, and remediate errors, reverts, vulnerabilities, and security findings
- Manage release flow (sandbox → staging → production) without deploy incidents
- Develop team members: delegate to Tech Leads, grow them, provide written and 1:1 performance feedback, and apply monthly performance reviews as improvement plans
- Participate in hiring: conduct technical interviews and review candidates
- Write and enforce technical documentation; interface with Product, QA, DevOps, and Support, escalating with data
- Be available for critical incident response
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced conversational Spanish (mandatory)
- 6+ years Ruby on Rails and .NET experience
- Knowledge of PM2, Domain Driven Design, and Clean Architecture
- Event-driven development experience
- Strong self-motivation, organizational skills, and critical/logical/mathematical reasoning
- Team collaboration ability
- Own computer equipment
Nice-to-Have:
- GCP experience
- Kafka and/or Pub/Sub experience
- Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- Algorithms and data structures knowledge
