Salary: USD 248,000 - 310,000 / annual

Discord is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a full-stack engineering squad within the Revenue organization. This is a high-impact role directly responsible for one of Discord's major business lines, delivering premium experiences that drive company revenue while creating real value for users. You will partner closely with Product to define and execute long-term strategy, leading a full-stack team of engineers working across web, Android, and iOS platforms. Your responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Partnerships, UX Research) to prioritize impactful work, guiding technical direction, and contributing hands-on code when needed. Key responsibilities: - Lead and grow a team of full-stack engineers through hiring, coaching, and instilling best practices - Use technical expertise to make appropriate tradeoffs and ensure scalable, high-quality solutions - Drive a culture of impactful results and user delight - Foster 80/20 thinking, rapid shipping, and iterative improvement - Make sound first-principle decisions on resourcing and communicate rationale clearly - Partner with org leadership on strategic planning and organizational improvement Required qualifications: - 5+ years as a Software Engineer - 2+ years as an Engineering Manager - Strong collaboration skills with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers - Commitment to delivering delightful experiences for end users and stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to grow and develop engineers - Hands-on technical capability; code proficiency required - Ownership mindset; ability to help teams overcome obstacles and resolve blockers Bonus qualifications include gaming industry experience, background in growth/revenue/e-commerce/monetization, track record with experimentation and data-driven decision-making, understanding of consumer product lifecycle (acquisition, engagement, retention, monetization), and familiarity with Discord as a user.
